About Me
Hello! My name is Tiffany, and I am a passionate pedagogue with nearly a decade of teaching experience. I received pedagogical training at Northwestern University, and have previously worked with several other tutoring organizations, in addition to tutoring my own private students.
When working with me, students receive personalized guidance, an integrative approach, and flexibility in sessions to help cater to their individual learning needs. They are provided with the most up-to-date resources to help supplement their learning and are regularly notified of local events, workshops, and other external learning opportunities. It is paramount to me that my students walk away loving learning and feeling confident. I hope to equip them with the proper tools to create their own literary and/or musical interpretations. My students have attended Iowa’s Creative Writing Workshop, Northwestern University, UCLA, and St. John’s School, among others.

Tutoring Experience
I've taught privately and with a number of institutions for the past five years, and have worked with students from as young as pre-school up to doctoral candidates. At Northwestern, I was a Writing Place tutor and a tutor and mentor for Books and Breakfast. I tailor my teaching style to what works best for my students and enjoy using a number of creative methods and platforms to help teach concepts in a way that is readily understandable for them. While at NYU, I was on staff as an adjunct faculty member, teaching non-major harpists. In lieu of the pandemic, I have gained thousands of hours of online teaching experience, working with students across the globe. Other teaching experience includes teaching singing and music with the New OC Children's Choir, private tutoring, musical lectures and demonstrations and local libraries, and eight years of ESL experience.
Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience
I previously worked as a music therapy harpist, playing for CHOC Hospital and Kaiser Permanente patients. While studying for my undergraduate degree, I volunteered at Books & Breakfast, a before-school program offering a nutritious breakfast, homework assistance, and emotional care to Evanston students in need of additional support. Currently, I work with The Confined Arts, a program that cultivates and showcases the talents and creative voices of artists directly impacted by mass incarceration and intersecting social justice issues.

Tiffany works with both my children for ELA and Math. They enjoy working with her and ask to work with her.
